Abstract

Abstract The fin stocks for use in a heat exchanger made of aluminum alloy are made by use of an aluminum alloy having a sacrificial anode effect so that the fluid passage members of the heat exchanger are protected from corrosion electrochemically. A method for producing an aluminum alloy for use in the fin stocks is disclosed with the analysis of the function of each component of the aluminum alloy and determination of the ratio of each component in the alloy.
