Abstract

Abstract An anchor on a tendon twisted of a number of steel wires has at least one double-cone widening, the biggest diameter of which is at least three times bigger than the diameter of the unfanned tendon part. The method for producing the anchor comprises seizing the tendon on two spaced apart places and bulging it between these places to form a widening. On the frame of the device for carrying out the above method there are provided two means for seizing the tendon on two places spaced apart whereby one of the means is actuated to exert an axial load on the tendon.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 4
Claim 1
Independent Claim 138 words
A device for producing an anchor on a tendon twisted of a number of steel wires intended to be anchored in a hardening agent capable of being poured, comprising a frame having a press including a press piston operatively attached to the frame, means for seizing the tendon on two arbitrary places spaced from each other, wherein a first of said means is attached to the press piston and shiftable therewith to exert an axial load on the tendon, a second of said means is attached to said frame, and whereby said first of said means is a head piece having a bore for receiving the end part of the tendon, said bore having the same diameter as that of the end part of the tendon, said bore being substantially as deep as the length of its diameter.
Claim 2
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 39 words
The device of claim 1, wherein the bore of the first means for seizing the tendon has a chamfered aperture on its open end which chamfer is inclined to the longitudinal axis of the bore by approximately 30 degrees.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 52 words
A device according to claim 1 characterized by said second means including two clamping jaws having ends axially adjacent said head press, and said clamping jaw ends being beveled at a tendon engaging bore portion thereof to form guide areas for individual wires of the tendon as a tendon widening is produced.
