Abstract

Abstract A novel electrically and thermally conductive prepreg is provided comprising a resin impregnated fabric woven from a multiplicity of dielectric fibers at least some of which are metal-coated, e.g. aluminum-coated glass fibers. Articles made therefrom are useful for dissipation of static electricity, lightening strike protection, EMI shielding and antennae surfaces. Directional conductivity is achieved by orientation of the metal-coated fibers in the ply.
