Abstract
Abstract The invention concerns polymeric basic amides produced by reacting a polymer containing carboxyl groups and a polyamine which contains an alkyl or alkenyl radical of 11 to 22 carbon atoms, at least one ethylene or propylene radical and at least two nitrogen atoms, of which at least one forms a primary or secondary amino group, at a temperature over 100° C., which in the form of their acid salts are water-dispersible and useful textile softeners.
