Abstract
Abstract Dried, free-flowing powdered foodstuffs are produced from high fat containing foods by adding thereto a grinding agent comprising a food-grade film-forming material which has been spray-dried from solution in the presence of a latent gas and which is characterized by a bulk density within the range of 3 to 25 pounds per cubic foot and, additionally in the case of solid foodstuffs, grinding the mixture to effect powdering.

Claim 1
Independent Claim
92 words
A process for powdering a dry, solid foodstuff which normally forms a paste or grinding having a fat content greater than about 30% to produce a free-flowing powder comprising the steps of adding thereto 25-400% by weight of the fat content of the foodstuff of a grinding agent comprising a food-grade film-forming material which has been spray-dried from solution in the presence of a latent gas and which is characterized by a bulk density within the range of 3 to 25 pounds per cubic foot and grinding the mixture to effect powdering.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
