Abstract
Abstract A process for preparing aromatic esters by oxyacylation which comprises contacting benzene or an aryl alkyl compound with a carboxylic acid and oxygen in the vapor phase in the presence of a catalytically effective amount of a catalyst comprising an oxide of uranium and at least one oxide selected from the group consisting of arsenic, antimony and bismuth oxide.
