Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim 66 words
In a method for producing a Factor VIII preparation comprising collecting blood from a donor, separating the plasma therefrom, and recovering a Factor VIII-rich fraction from said plasma, the improvement of administering to said donor 1-deamino-8-D-arginine vasopressin in an amount effective to increase the circulating level of Factor VIII in the blood of said donor and thereafter recovering blood containing said increased levels of Factor VIII.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 66 words
In a method for producing a Factor VIII preparation comprising collecting blood from a donor, separating the plasma therefrom, and recovering a Factor VIII-rich fraction from said plasma, the improvement of administering to said donor 1-deamino-8-D-arginine vasopressin in an amount effective to increase the circulating level of Factor VIII in the blood of said donor and thereafter recovering blood containing said increased levels of Factor VIII.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 20 words
A method according to claim 1 wherein said amount is a circulating drug dosage of at least about 10 micrograms.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 22 words
A method according to claim 1 wherein said amount is a circulating drug dosage of from about 10 to about 20 micrograms.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 11 words
A method according to claim 1 wherein said administration is intravenously.
