Abstract
Abstract The invention provides a method for reducing the incidence of thermal decomposition products of metal-treating compositions on the surface of metal heat-treated in the presence of such compositions. The compositions are modified with certain acetylenic alcohols to improve their clean-burning characteristics; the resulting decrease in residual decomposition product on the metal surface facilitates subsequent processing.
