Abstract

Abstract A dyestuff of the formula <IMAGE> where D is a chromophoric residue n is 1 or 2 Z is <IMAGE> where R is H, C1-4alkyl, C1-4alkyl substituted by OH, OSO3H, CN or SO3H or is phenyl each hal independently represents a chlorine or fluorine atom occupying one of the remaining 2-, 4- and 6-positions of the pyridine nucleus X is F, Cl, CN or NO2 Y is H, F, Cl, CN or NO2. These dyestuffs reactively dye cellulose at low temperatures and are less prone to "acid bleeding" than some known reactive dyes.
