An α-cyanoacrylate-base adhesive composition as defind in claim 1 which incorporates the trichlorotrifluoroethane in the form of a mixture consisting predominantly of trichlorotrifluoroethane as admixed with a solvent selected from the group consisting of acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, methanol, ethanol, ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, nitroethane, cellosolve acetate, methyl cellosolve, n-hexane, cyclohexane, toluene and methylene chloride.
