Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 7
Claim 1
Independent Claim
94 words
A curative mixture comprising: as a first component, the reaction product of reactants from each of the three classes (I) a phenol which has at least one unsubstituted reactive position on the aromatic nucleus, (II) a aldehyde, and (III) an aromatic amine, which reaction product contains no substantial amount of component from any other class of reactant, and, as a second component, an organic diol, said mixture containing from about 20 to about 80 parts by weight of said first component per 100 parts by weight of said first and said second components together.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
56 words
A mixture as claimed in claim 1 wherein said first component is the reaction product of (I) phenol, (II) formaldehyde, and (III) aniline, wherein the molar ratio of (I) to (III) ranges from about 6:1 to about 1:6 and wherein the molar ratio of (I) and (III) to (II) ranges from about 6:1 to about 1.2:1.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
15 words
A mixture as claimed in claim 2 wherein said second component is an aromatic diol.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
20 words
A mixture as claimed in claim 3 wherein the aromatic diol is the reaction product of aniline and ethylene oxide.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
22 words
A mixture as claimed in claim 2 wherein said second component is an aliphatic glycol having between 2 and 6 carbon atoms.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
14 words
A mixture as claimed in claim 5 wherein said second component is propylene glycol.
