Abstract
Abstract A composite magnetic core assembly for a magnetic head comprises first and second substantially C-shaped portions which are symmetrically arranged with respect to each other. Each of the first and second C-shaped portions comprises a substantially L-shaped back core, a substantially oblique prism shaped head chip and at least one side plate which is made of nonmagnetic and electrically conductive material. The side plate is fixedly attached on one side of the head tip and a portion of one side of the back core for reinforcing the adhesive strength between the head tip and the back core.
