Abstract

Abstract A method of preparing a spectrally sensitized radiation-sensitive silver halide emulsion is disclosed in which a methine spectral sensitizing dye is added to a reaction vessel prior to the concurrent introduction of aqueous halide and silver salt solutions. The silver halide grains concurrently formed and spectrally sensitized in this manner exhibit relatively high minus blue speeds.
