Abstract A method for the treatment of thromboembolisms in a patient, said method consisting essentially of intravenously administering to said patient an effective amount of a complex formed between streptokinase and plasminogen in a mol ratio from 2:1 to 1:2 in combination with a physiologically tolerable aqueous liquid diluent.
