Abstract
Abstract Turning machine tool includes a workpiece spindle, a cantilevered longitudinal guide adjacent the workpiece spindle and movable parallel to the rotary axis thereof, at least one tool support mounted on the free end of the cantilevered longitudinal guide and being movable in a horizontal plane perpendicularly to the rotary axis of the workpiece spindle within a work space for the turning machine tool, guide means for the cantilevered longitudinal guide, and a round guide system which includes two transverse guides movable perpendicularly to the rotary axis of the workpiece spindle, the cantilevered longitudinal guide being supported outside the work space through the intermediary of the guide means in the round guide system.
