Abstract
Abstract Disclosed is an internal combustion engine comprising a main combustion chamber and an auxiliary combustion chamber which are interconnected to each other via a connecting passage. An additional passage is provided for communicating the connecting passage with the main combustion chamber. The additional passage opens into the connecting passage towards the electrode of the spark plug, which is located in the connecting passage.
