Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim
98 words
A foundry core mix adapted to being cured by a catalyst comprising a foundry aggregate and about 1% to 5% by weight of the aggregate of a binder comprising: (a) a polyol component reactive with, (b) a liquid polyisocyanate component in the amount of about 60% to 70% by weight of the polyol, and, (c) a solvent of the formula ##STR3## in which R 1 and R 2 are the same or different hydrocarbon radicals of three to six carbon atoms and R 3 and R 4 are the same or different hydrogen, methyl, ethyl or phenyl radicals.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
21 words
The foundry core mix of claim 1 wherein the polyol component is a mixture of bisphenol A and a polyalkylene glycol.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
14 words
The foundry core mix of claim 2 wherein the polyalkylene glycol is tetraethylene glycol.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
22 words
The foundry core mix of claim 3 wherein the bisphenol A and tetraethylene glycol are in a weight ratio of about 1.5-2.5:1.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
23 words
The foundry core mix of claim 1 wherein the solvent is present in the amount of about 30-40% by weight of the binder.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
12 words
The foundry core mix of claim 5 wherein the solvent is butylal.
Claim 8
