Claim 1
Independent Claim
120 words
A method for bleaching nylon fabrics comprising contacting nylon fabrics to be bleached with a water solution containing an amount of the composition containing the following ingredients: (a) from about 1% to about 60% of diperoxydodecanedioic acid, and (b) from about 2% to about 90% of a buffering agent, wherein said acid and said buffering agent are present in the composition as separate granules and said buffering agent is present in an amount sufficient to maintain the pH of the water in which said acid is dissolved in the range of about 8.7 to about 9.5, and wherein said water solution contains a sufficient quantity of said composition to provide from about 15 ppm to about 45 ppm available oxygen.
Claim 2
