Claim 1
Independent Claim
116 words
A lining gun for spraying a refractory lining on the interior of deep walled refractory bodies such as ladles and the like comprising: an elongated conduit through which refractory material can be conveyed; at least one pair of discharge nozzles mounted adjacent one end of said conduit and being capable of being in fluid communication with said conduit, said nozzles extending outwardly from said conduit in substantially diametrically opposed directions; and drive means for driving said nozzles in a rotary manner about the axis of said conduit, said drive means alternately rotating said nozzles in a first direction through an angle of approximately 360° and then in the reverse direction through an angle of approximately 360°.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim

Claim 3
Dependent Claim
32 words
The lining gun of claim 1 further including divider means within said conduit and adjacent said nozzles for dividing the flow of refractory material within said conduit substantially equally between said nozzles.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
32 words
The lining gun of claim 1 further including substantially flexible hose means connected to said nozzles for conducting a wetting agent thereto which is intended to be mixed with said refractory material.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
31 words
The lining gun of claim 1 further including a second pair of nozzles mounted adjacent said first mentioned pair and also being capable of being in fluid communication with said conduit.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
27 words
The lining gun of claim 4 further including means for selectively placing either said first or said second pair of nozzles into fluid communication with said conduit.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
94 words
A lining gun for spraying a refractory lining on the interior of deep walled refractory bodies such as ladles and the like comprising: an elongated conduit through which refractory material can be conveyed; first and second nozzle means mounted adjacent one end of said conduit and being capable of being in fluid communication with said conduit; means for selectively placing either said first or second nozzle means into fluid communication with said conduit, and drive means for driving said first and second nozzle means in a rotary manner about the axis of said conduit.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
94 words
A lining gun for spraying a refractory lining on the interior of deep walled refractory bodies such as ladles and the like comprising: an elongated conduit through which refractory material can be conveyed; first and second nozzle means mounted adjacent one end of said conduit and being capable of being in fluid communication with said conduit; means for selectively placing either said first or second nozzle means into fluid communication with said conduit, and drive means for driving said first and second nozzle means in a rotary manner about the axis of said conduit.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim
40 words
The lining gun of claim 6 wherein said drive means alternately rotates said first and second nozzle means in a first direction through an angle of approximately 360° and then in the reverse direction through an angle of approximately 360°.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim
27 words
The lining gun of claim 6 wherein said first and second nozzle means extend outwardly from said conduit at different angles from the axis of said conduit.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim
60 words
The lining gun of claim 6 wherein said first nozzle means includes a pair of nozzles which extend outwardly from said conduit in substantially diametrically opposed directions and wherein said second nozzle means includes a pair of nozzles extending outwardly from said conduit in substantially diametrically opposed directions, said first nozzle means being angularly offset from said second nozzle means.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim
53 words
The lining gun of claim 9 further including divider means within said conduit and adjacent said first and second nozzle means for dividing the flow of refractory material within said conduit substantially equally between the pair of nozzles of said first nozzle means or the pair of nozzles of said second nozzle means.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim
27 words
The lining gun of claim 9 wherein said first and second nozzle means extend outwardly from said conduit at different angles from the axis of said conduit.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim
53 words
The lining gun of claim 11 further including divider means within said conduit and adjacent said first and second nozzle means for dividing the flow of refractory material within said conduit substantially equally between the pair of nozzles of said first nozzle means or the pair of nozzles of said second nozzle means.
Claim 15
Dependent Claim
83 words
The lining gun of claim 12 including means for moving said divider means between a first position wherein the flow of refractory material is divided between the pair of nozzles of said first nozzle means and a second position wherein the flow of refractory material is divided between the pair of nozzles of said second nozzle means, said means for moving being operatively associated with said means for selectively placing either said first or second nozzle means into fluid communication with said conduit.
