Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 21
Claim 1
Independent Claim 65 words
A process for simultaneously melting and introducing a solid, coal derived feed into a process unit comprising: introducing said solid, coal derived feed into an extruder; heating said solid, coal derived feed within said extruder to melt said feed and provide a molten feed; discharging said molten feed from said extruder at an elevated pressure; and introducing said discharged molten feed into a process unit.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 65 words
A process for simultaneously melting and introducing a solid, coal derived feed into a process unit comprising: introducing said solid, coal derived feed into an extruder; heating said solid, coal derived feed within said extruder to melt said feed and provide a molten feed; discharging said molten feed from said extruder at an elevated pressure; and introducing said discharged molten feed into a process unit.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 12 words
The process of claim 1 wherein the extruder has a tapered screw.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 13 words
The process of claim 1 wherein the extruder has a variable pitch screw.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 14 words
