Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 9
Claim 1
Independent Claim 99 words
In the process of preparing in pulverulent form a normally solid thermoplastic resin selected from the group consisting of polyolefin or olefin copolymer containing up to about 15 weight percent of polar monomer by vigorously agitating said resin in molten form in water in the presence of a dispersing agent at a temperature below the degradation temperature of said resin to produce a dispersion of said resin and cooling said dispersion to below about 100° C. the improvement wherein the dispersing agent is a lithium salt of a higher saturated fatty acid containing from 18 to 26 carbon atoms.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 99 words
In the process of preparing in pulverulent form a normally solid thermoplastic resin selected from the group consisting of polyolefin or olefin copolymer containing up to about 15 weight percent of polar monomer by vigorously agitating said resin in molten form in water in the presence of a dispersing agent at a temperature below the degradation temperature of said resin to produce a dispersion of said resin and cooling said dispersion to below about 100° C. the improvement wherein the dispersing agent is a lithium salt of a higher saturated fatty acid containing from 18 to 26 carbon atoms.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 10 words
Process according to claim 1 wherein the polyolefin is polyethylene.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 79 words
A process for preparing in pulverulent form a normally solid thermoplastic resin selected from the group consisting of polyolefin or olefin copolymer containing up to about 15 weight percent of polar monomer which comprises vigorously agitating said resin in molten form in water in the presence of a dispersing agent comprising lithium behenate at a temperature below the degradation temperature of said resin to produce a dispersion of said resin and cooling said dispersion to below about 100° C.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 79 words
A process for preparing in pulverulent form a normally solid thermoplastic resin selected from the group consisting of polyolefin or olefin copolymer containing up to about 15 weight percent of polar monomer which comprises vigorously agitating said resin in molten form in water in the presence of a dispersing agent comprising lithium behenate at a temperature below the degradation temperature of said resin to produce a dispersion of said resin and cooling said dispersion to below about 100° C.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 10 words
Process according to claim 3 wherein the resin is polyethylene.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 23 words
Process according to claim 3 wherein the resin is an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer containing up to about 15 weight percent of vinyl acetate.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 25 words
Process according to claim 3 wherein the dispersing agent is employed at a level of at least about 5 parts per 100 parts of resin.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 27 words
Process according to claim 3 wherein the dispersing agent is employed at a level of from about 5 to about 15 parts per 100 parts of resin.
