Abstract
Abstract Alkali metal sulfides are regenerated from alkali metal hydrosulfides which are produced as a result of the hydroconversion of heavy carbonaceous feeds. The regeneration is effected by contacting the alkali metal hydrosulfide with a metal oxide at elevated temperatures.
