Abstract

Abstract Poly-1,2-epoxy resins, such as diglycidyl ethers of bisphenols, are hydrolyzed at high solids content in organic solvents, such as hexoxyethanol. The hydrolyzed epoxy resins are used in coating formulations (aqueous emulsions or solutions) together with curing agent and, optionally, a catalyst for cross-linking.
