Abstract
Abstract An electrographic liquid developer comprising a carrier liquid and a marking particle which comprises a dye compound having the formula: ##STR1## wherein: R 1 is H, COOH, CONH 2 , --SO 2 NH 2 or --SO 3 M where M is Na + or NH 4 ; R 2 is a lower alkoxy radical, --OCH 2 CONH 2 , or ##STR2## where each of R 6 and R 7 is a lower alkyl radical; and R 3 is H, a lower alkyl radical, a lower alkoxy radical or NO 2 .
