Abstract
Abstract A flexible laminate having a high tear strength comprising an adhesive impregnated open mesh reinforcing web with upper and lower surfaces of lightly bonded fibers, a finish applied to the fiber surfaces, wherein at least one outer layer is adhesively bonded to at least one surface of the web. The fibers in the web are surrounded by adhesive, however the adhesive is prevented from contacting the fibers by the finish, thus allowing the fibers to remain substantially unbonded to the outer layer, thereby permitting substantial freedom of fiber movement within the laminate.
