Abstract
Abstract This invention relates to the compounds: N-(mercaptoacy)-cysteine represented by the following formula wherein Z is selected from the group consisting of CH 3 --CH<, (CH 3 ) 2 C<, (CH 2 ) 2 < and CH 2 <, acting as agents for the liquefaction of sputum, intermediate therefor and a process for manufacture thereof ##STR1##
