In a solar energy collector which comprises side and end walls defining a housing, an absorber within said housing, the improvement comprising a support ledge extending inwardly from said wall members above the absorber and below said cover member, a removable rectangular frame member having a thin transparent flexible sheet of material secured thereto and tensioned thereacross, said frame member resting on the support ledge, and cooperating means on said support ledge and said frame member for positioning and retaining said frame member in position on said support ledge.
