Abstract
Abstract An ozone generating apparatus is disclosed which comprises a power source device for feeding a rectangular waveform alternating current between the discharge electrodes of a discharge tube of an ozone generator. One or both of the output current and frequency of the power source device is controlled to overcome the disadvantages of the conventional ozone generating apparatus.

An ozone generating apparatus comprising: an ozone generator having a discharge tube with discharge electrodes, a rectangular waveform current feeding device for feeding rectangular waveform alternating current through the discharge electrodes of the discharge tube without a capacitive coupling circuit between the discharge electrodes and the rectangular waveform current feeding device for driving the ozone generator, and control means for controlling the ozone generating rate of the ozone generator by controlling the current and/or the frequency of the rectangular waveform alternating current.
