Abstract
Abstract The impact strength of rigid vinyl halide polymers is greatly improved by graft blending therewith up to 50 parts by weight of a butyl rubber composition per hundred parts of vinyl chloride monomer. The graft blends are prepared by polymerizing vinyl chloride monomer in the presence of the butyl rubber by suspension polymerization. This impact enhancement is not gained at the expense of other properties, e.g., processability.
