Claim 1
Independent Claim 51 words
A thermoplastic molding composition which consists essentially of a combination of polyesters consisting of: a. a poly(1,4-butylene terephthalate) resin or a copolyester thereof with a minor amount of an aliphatic or aromatic dicarboxylic acid or an aliphatic polyol; b. a polyester resin derived from a cyclohexanedimethanol and a hexacarbocyclic dicarboxylic acid.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 51 words
A thermoplastic molding composition which consists essentially of a combination of polyesters consisting of: a. a poly(1,4-butylene terephthalate) resin or a copolyester thereof with a minor amount of an aliphatic or aromatic dicarboxylic acid or an aliphatic polyol; b. a polyester resin derived from a cyclohexanedimethanol and a hexacarbocyclic dicarboxylic acid.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 17 words
A thermoplastic molding composition as defined in claim 1 where component (a) is a poly(1,4-butylene terephthalate) resin.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 62 words
A thermoplastic molding composition as defined in claim 1 wherein the polyester resin has repeating units of the formula: ##STR4## wherein the substituted cyclohexane ring is selected from the group consisting of the cis- and trans- isomers thereof and R represents an organic radical containing from 6 to 20 carbon atoms which is the decarboxylated residue derived from a hexacarbocyclic dicarboxylic acid.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 18 words
A thermoplastic molding composition as defined in claim 3 wherein the polyester resin has the repeating unit: ##STR5##
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 35 words
A thermoplastic molding composition as defined in claim 1 wherein component (a) comprises from about 95 to about 20 parts by weight and component (b) comprises from about 5 to about 80 parts by weight.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 63 words
A reinforced thermoplastic molding composition which consists essentially of: (i) a combination of polyesters consisting of (a) a poly(1,4-butylene terephthalate) resin or a copolyester thereof with a minor amount of an aliphatic or aromatic dicarbocyclic acid or an aliphatic polyol, and (b) a polyester resin derived from a cyclohexanedimethanol and a hexacarbocyclic dicarboxylic acid; and (ii) a reinforcing amount of a reinforcing filler.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 63 words
A reinforced thermoplastic molding composition which consists essentially of: (i) a combination of polyesters consisting of (a) a poly(1,4-butylene terephthalate) resin or a copolyester thereof with a minor amount of an aliphatic or aromatic dicarbocyclic acid or an aliphatic polyol, and (b) a polyester resin derived from a cyclohexanedimethanol and a hexacarbocyclic dicarboxylic acid; and (ii) a reinforcing amount of a reinforcing filler.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 17 words
A reinforced thermoplastic molding composition as defined in claim 6 where component (a) is a poly(1,4-butylene terephthalate)resin.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 63 words
A reinforced thermoplastic molding composition as defined in claim 6 wherein the polyester resin has repeating units of the formula: ##STR6## wherein the substituted cyclohexane ring is selected from the group consisting of the cis- and trans- isomers thereof and R represents an organic radical containing from 6 to 20 carbon atoms which is the decarboxylated residue derived from a hexacarbocyclic dicarboxylic acid.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 19 words
A reinforced thermoplastic molding composition as defined in claim 8 wherein the polyester resin has the repeating unit: ##STR7##
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 17 words
A reinforced thermoplastic molding composition as defined in claim 6 wherein the reinforcing filler is glass fiber.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim 36 words
A reinforced thermoplastic molding composition as defined in claim 6 wherein component (a) comprises from about 95 to about 20 parts by weight and component (b) comprises from about 5 to about 80 parts by weight.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim 34 words
A reinforced thermoplastic molding composition as defined in claim 6 wherein the reinforcing filler comprises from about 5 to about 50 parts by weight based on the combined weights of components (a) and (b).
Claim 15
Dependent Claim 18 words
A reinforced thermoplastic molding composition as defined in claim 6 wherein the reinforcing filler is glass and mica.
Claim 16
Dependent Claim 18 words
A reinforced thermoplastic molding composition as defined in claim 6 wherein the reinforcing filler is glass and talc.
