Abstract

Abstract β-Hydroxyalkylamide polymers are disclosed as curable by nonpolymeric compounds having carboxy or anhydride functions. The β-hydroxyalkylamide polymers are prepared either from known compounds or may be prepared by treating an ester group with an appropriately substituted amine. The polymers are useful in organic solvent solution, aqueous systems, and powder coating formulations.
