Abstract
Abstract As the liquid crystal substance in electro-optical devices or as the stationary phase in gas chromatography is employed a compound of the formula <IMAGE> in which R1 and R2 each is CnH2n+1-, CnH2n+1O-, CnH2n+1COO- or CnH2n+1OCOO-, n being an integer of from 1 to 10, and R3 is Cl-, Br-, CH3-, C2H5-, CH3CO- or CH3OOC-.
