A perfume composition comprising from 0.05% up to 5% by weight of the fragrance components of ethyl-2-methyl-3,4-pentadienoate having the structure: ##STR26## and the remainder of said composition being at least one adjuvant selected from the group consisting of natural perfume oils, synthetic perfume oils other than said ethyl-2-methyl-3,4-pentadienoate, alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, esters other than said ethyl-2-methyl-3,4-pentadienoate, lactones and nitriles.
