Abstract
Abstract Certain esters of 1-hydroxy-cyclobutene-3,4-dione and mono- and diesters of square acid have been found to be useful in the regulation of plant growth, especially as post-emergent herbicides, as plant growth inhibitors and desiccants. New esters of this type and their manufacture are also described.
