Abstract
Abstract Polymer-printed fabrics are produced by applying to a textile fabric substrate, in a pre-determined pattern, a non-aqueous admixture consisting essentially of at least 1 weight percent of an acid dyeable polymer having a cationic charge in milliequivalents/gram of polymer of from about 0.01 to about 5. The non-aqueous admixture is further characterized as having a viscosity of from about 5 to about 50,000 centipoise. The printed substrate is then heated to a temperature sufficient to dry the polymer printed substrate. Thereafter, the dryed polymer printed substrate is dyed with a dye admixture containing an acid dyestuff preferential to the polymer printed portion of the substrate.
