Abstract
Abstract An improved combustion air supply apparatus is provided for an internal combustion engine. An air supply line for supplying combustion air to the engine is provided with a load regulating throttle valve disposed therein. In by-passing relationship to the throttle valve, a by-pass line and supplementary air valve control mechanism is provided for controlling flow of additional air in by-passing relationship to the throttle valve as a function of the suction pressure in said air supply line downstream of the throttle valve.
