Abstract

Abstract Photoconductive composition comprising an insulating polymeric matrix and a compound of the formula ##STR1## WHEREIN Ar is anthryl; naphthyl; pyrenyl; indolyl; N-alkyl 2-CARBAZYL; JULOLIDINYL; AND THE SUBSTITUTED ANALOGUES THEREOF, WHEREIN SAID SUBSTITUENTS ARE CAPABLE OF RELEASING ELECTRONS TO THE RELATIVELY ELECTRON DEFICIENT CENTERS WITHIN THE COMPOUND; X is --NO 2 or halogen; and N can range from 1 to 5. These compositions have good spectral response in the visible region of the electromagnetic spectrum and are suitable for use in electrostatographic imaging members and methods.
