Abstract

Abstract This invention relates to ortho-alkoxy anilines having the amino group substituted with an amino lower alkyl carboxylic residue, as well as their physiologically-compatible acid-addition salts and their optically-active isomers. This invention also relates to processes for making the same in which an ortho-alkoxy aniline is reacted with a lower alkanoic acid or a functional derivative thereof. The compounds of the invention have therapeutical utility namely for the prevention or treatment of digestive disorders and gastric ulcers.
