Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 18
Claim 1
Independent Claim 53 words
The method of reducing the detrimental effect of a copper phthalocyanine pigment on the stability of a polyolefin resin pigmented with said copper phthalocyanine, which comprises: including in the pigmented resin from about 0.01 to about 10 percent of at least one metal chelating agent based on the weight of the polyolefin resin.
Claim 2
Independent Claim 53 words
The method of reducing the detrimental effect of a copper phthalocyanine pigment on the stability of a polyolefin resin pigmented with said copper phthalocyanine, which comprises: including in the pigmented resin from about 0.01 to about 10 percent of at least one metal chelating agent based on the weight of the polyolefin resin.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 19 words
The method of claim 1 containing from about 0.1 to about 5 percent by weight of the chelating agent.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 27 words
The method of claim 1 wherein the polyolefin resin is selected from homopolymers and copolymers of at least one α-olefin having from 2 to 18 carbon atoms.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 18 words
The method of claim 3 wherein the polyolefin resin is derived at least in part from propylene monomer.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 105 words
The method of claim 1, wherein the chelating agent is a compound having the general structure Z-NH-Y-NH-Z, in which Z is an acyl group represented by the formula ##STR2## wherein R 1 and R 2 is a lower alkyl group of from 1 to 6 carbon atoms and m is an integer from 0 to 6, and Y is a group selected from a. C n H 2n , in which n is an integer from 0 to 18, or b. (C p H 2p ·NH) r ·C p H 2p , in which p and r each is an integer from 1 to 12.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 16 words
The method of claim 5 in which R 1 and R 2 are tertiary alkyl groups.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 23 words
The method of claim 5 in which R 1 and R 2 are in the ortho positions with respect to the hydroxyl group.
Claim 9
