Abstract

Abstract Tertiary phosphine oxides are obtained by adding olefins having a terminal hydroxy or amino group or functional derivatives thereof to secondary phosphine oxides. The adducts are useful as intermediates in the preparation of flame-retardant agents, anti-corrosive agents, pesticides, pharmaceuticals and detergents.
