Abstract
Abstract High molecular weight N-hydrocarbyl-substituted quaternary ammonium salts in which the hydrocarbyl group has a molecular weight of from about 350-3000 such as a polybutene ammonium chloride are effective detergents and dispersants for gasoline and lubricating oils.
