Abstract
Abstract A thermal oxidatively stable polycarbonate composition stabilized with a minor amount of an ester of a phosphorodihalidous acid and to a process for preparing a thermal oxidatively stable polymer. In the process, the ester of a phosphorodihalidous acid is reacted with the bisphenol-A monomer. In addition, an epoxy may be used in admixture with the composition, which epoxy compound has the following formula: ##STR1##
