Abstract

Abstract A holding device for holding a plurality of electrical and electronic parts or elements. The holding device of paper or similar resilient material includes a base of tape-like configuration and a plurality of holding portions formed in the longitudinal direction of the base. The holding portion further includes tongue portion formed by a slit which is cut in a direction normal to the longitudinal direction of the base to allow U-shaped lead wires of the electrical parts or elements to be inserted into the base through the slit and to be held in position by pressing the tongue portion into the space defined by the lead wire for efficient handling of such parts and elements as one unit on the base.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 11
Claim 1
Independent Claim 117 words
A holding device for holding therein a plurality of electrical and electronic components at the lead wire portions thereof with regular intervals thereinbetween, said holding device comprising: a base member of tape-like configuration; a plurality of holding means for holding said electrical components spaced from each other longitudinally along said base member, each holding means comprised of: a first hinge-like tongue member cut from said base member perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of said base member, whereby said lead wires can be inserted into said base member through said cut therein and held therein by said tongue member pressed into said cut and forcing said lead wires between the side of said tongue member and said cut.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 117 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 79 words
A device as claimed in claim 1 wherein: said base member has a raised portion in the central, longitudinal direction thereof, said raised portion having first and second side portions opposite each other and a top portion between said side portions; said first tongue members are cut from said first side portions; and said raised portion has a plurality of openings cut therein through said second side portion opposite said first tongue members formed in said first side portion.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 29 words
A device as claimed in claim 2 wherein said openings cut into said second side portion form a plurality of second hinge-type tongue members opposite said first tongue members.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 34 words
A device as claimed in claim 3 wherein said first tongue members extend outward from said top portion and said second tongue members extend upward from said second side portion toward said top portion.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 21 words
A device as claimed in claim 3 wherein both said first and second tongue members extend outward from said top portion.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 25 words
A device as claimed in claim 3 wherein both said first and second tongue members extend upward from said side portions toward said top portion.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 24 words
A device as claimed in claim 3 wherein said first and second tongue members are formed by narrow, slit-like cuts in said base member.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 29 words
A device as claimed in claim 3 wherein said first and second tongue members are formed by groove-like cuts of 0.5 to 0.6 mm width in said base member.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 16 words
A holding device as claimed in claim 1, wherein said base member is of paper material.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 17 words
A holding device as claimed in claim 1, wherein said base member is of resilient canvas material.
