A suction retraction instrument comprising: an elongated hollow suction pipe having a suction port at its lower end and secured to a manifold at its upper end and having a straight lower portion extending along an axis, and a unitary support rod and retractor arm secured along the length of said suction pipe, the retractor arm comprising the lower end of said support rod, and wherein said retractor arm extends beyond the lower end of said suction pipe and at an obtuse angle from said axis.
