Abstract A herbicidal composition of reduced health hazard comprising a salt of a herbicidal bipyridylium quaternary cation and an effectively emetic amount of a s-triazolo [1,5-a] pyrimidine derivative of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R 1 is hydrogen, a C 1-4 alkyl radical, or a COOEt radical; R 2 is a C 1-4 alkyl radical or an allyl radical, and R 3 is a C 1-4 alkyl radical; or an addition salt thereof.
