Abstract
Abstract An additive for hydrocarbon motor fuels for internal combustion engines which consists of ditertiarybutyl peroxide contained in a solvent medium. The solvent medium is preferably ditertiarybutyl alcohol along with a lower melting solvent, such as isopropyl alcohol, benzene, or mixtures thereof. The organic peroxide is normally present in the fuel in an amount ranging from between about 0.1 ppm. to about 1 ppm., with best results being obtained within that range.
