Abstract
Abstract The polyolefin containing emulsion adhesives of the present invention comprise an aqueous emulsion of a blend comprising an oxidized polyethylene, a tackifying resin and emulsifiers. The emulsion adhesives have a novel combination of properties including a long shelf life, are not adversely affected by freezing, and provide adhesive bonds having good shear strength and relatively low tensile strength.
