Abstract

Abstract Biocidal glass materials are prepared from a mixture of boric oxide, aluminum oxide and cupric oxide in powdered form. After fusing the powder into glass, the glass is ground and deposited in a marine paint composition to provide a paint decomposition rate of 20 micrograms per hour in seawater.
