Abstract
Abstract Amphotericin B methyl ester salts, such as salts formed by reaction with mono and dicarboxylic amino acids (such as aspartic acid, or glutamic acid or pyroglutamic acid), hydroxy carboxylic acids (such as lactic acid) and mono and dicarboxylic acids (such as acetic acid) are provided and have been found to be readily water-soluble and at least as stable and active as the parent ester compound.
