Abstract
Abstract A method of damping vibrations in building structures by linking an end of a beam to a fixed support by viscoelastic links or damping elements spaced away from the neutral plane of the beam and comprising linking structural members with a viscoelastic damping material sandwiched between and bonded to the structural members, and the damping elements which can be employed as viscoelastic links in such a method.
